Healing Hearts, Changing Lives

Levi’s Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for individuals and families affected by sickle cell disease, particularly in underserved communities.
Founded in memory of Levi Ngonde (2016), the foundation was created by his sister, who also lives with sickle cell disease. Levi’s life, faith, and passing revealed the urgent need for timely medical care, education, and support—especially where resources are limited.
Guided by faith and lived experience, Levi Foundation works to ensure that no family is left waiting when time matters most

Our Story

Levi Foundation was created in loving memory of Levi Ngonde (2016), a devoted son, brother, and man of faith who lost his life to complications related to sickle cell disease in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo.
Levi was known for his unwavering faith and strength. Even during his time in the hospital, he prayed, sang, and served God wholeheartedly. His life reflected perseverance, humility, and trust in God until his final breath.
The foundation was established by Levi’s younger sister, who also lives with sickle cell disease. Born in the United States and raised across Africa, Europe, and America, she experienced firsthand how illness, displacement, and loss can shape a childhood. Levi’s Foundation exists to honor Levi’s legacy by advocating for individuals and families affected by sickle cell disease, particularly in underserved communities, as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

Our Mission

To advocate for individuals and families affected by sickle cell disease by promoting access to timely medical care, education, and resources—particularly in underserved communities, under the guidance and oversight of a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Our Vision

A world where individuals living with sickle cell disease receive care without delay, families are supported with dignity, and no life is lost due to lack of access, resources, or awareness.

Where We Work

Our main programs are currently based in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where access to medical care is limited and the needs are urgent. We are actively preparing to expand to Rwanda, Kenya, and Ghana, so that even more children and families can benefit from our support.

Why We Exist

For too many children in Africa, sickness and disease create barriers to survival, education, and a healthy childhood. Levi’s Foundation exists to bridge that gap—to provide the care, food, and resources that can save lives and help families stay together during the hardest times.
Every child we help is a life touched, a family strengthened, and a future made brighter.
